Very pretty colors! Sorry you are disappointed with your longarmer. Have you told her you thought she was getting 'sloppy'? Perhaps she is just trying to finish quick and someone should really let her know....

The quilt top is beautiful and well thought out. I would have been disappointed as well. Considering you said that you have used her in the past and were satisfied, then not your fault she jerked things around. I hate to sound harsh, but someone who quilts commercially should take responsibility for their work. In the long run, your son loved the quilt and it will keep him warm and happy. You could have hand quilted it in the time she took and you would have been happy with the result. I found that the feathers really did not jibe with the quilt idea. Some of the work I have seen posted on here from long-arm quilters has been well thought out with the actual quilt-top design in mind. All that said, you should see MY work. Lord have mercy, I am horrible at it!

Thanks for the directions. I had made up a completely different story about how you made it. I just received one of my quilting magazines and it gave those same directions for making a quilt with ties. I'm going to make one with my husband's ties. Thanks for sharing yours!
