Blue and yellow Log Cabin

Blue and yellow Log Cabin
My wife moved from GA to TN in 1991 to attend Bible college. When she got here the first person she met was "Mom Allen." Mom Allen adopted her and became her TN mom. Now, twenty-plus years later they are still good friends.
After we got some of our backlog down, she wanted to commission us to make her a quilt to use as a bedspread in her room. We agreed to do it, but of course we could not let her pay us. She picked the Log Cabin block and said she'd like it to be yellow and blue. She left everything else up to us. We have been working on it since summer, but Kim's dad passed away in July and my dad spent 89 days in the hospital in the fall, and got out the day before Christmas Eve. We are starting to recover and had been working on the quilt casually, but last week we found out that our dear friend has terminal cancer. We have been working double-time to get it finished will be giving it to her in a few minutes. Let me know what you think.
