Does your sister like florals? Batiks? I can see a floral log cabin with the Bulldog squares replacing some of the blocks. A friend just made a sampler quit with some of the blocks just a large flower. It was very pretty, though normally I'm not a sampler fan. The large blocks (your Bulldogs) gave my eyes somewher to go.
If you cut this up, you'll loss the specialness of the fabric if she is a fan of that team.

You have an approximate 6" repeat - that would give you 6 per yard more or less. Determine you desired number of repeats 4, 6 or 8. Cut a 12" strip that long lengthwise, and cut crosswise, stack & cut.
