It also helps how you hold the paper when you rip. I try to hold the side of the paper that is being ripped just past the perforations and move my hand down the line.

Barbara--I think your book mark is terrific and I was just wondering what when wrong with it when you sewed the back on and turned it that made you say what you did?

I love your bookmark. It's so bright and cheerful. That's the exact way I felt the first time I finished a PP project. I was so impressed with myself! LOL! You will love it. I made a quilt for my grandson a while back and paperpieced some of the blocks and machine embroidered the centers. It was so cute and I never did get a picture of it.
