Christmas Gifts for the Relatives

Christmas Gifts for the Relatives
I just finished these christmas card holders for my hubby's siblings and the round table topper for my mother in law. I will show you one picture as to how they hang with a wooden dowel inserted into the corner triangles I attached to the back top corners. It has the bonus of making the hanging a little ridged to hang straight even though some weight will be inserted into the two bottom pockets (cards)
The upper main subject blocks and lower two pockets are swap blocks from years past I wanted to use up. I think they are pretty cute and that my in laws will enjoy keeping the christmas cards all in one place. I have had one many years and I know I do.
The round table topper is a buttermilk basin pattern for a wreath, but, I wanted to make this instead.
I hope you all like my work, I value your opinion.

I might add onto a couple of them with a little something to balance it out and add some bling. There are a couple that have beads, rick rack and sequins on them already.
I plan on cutting the rods this afternoon and filling out the card to add to the pocket. Then I will mail them early enough so if they want, they can use them this year. I just need to get the padded envelopes here from the post office to address and put the postage on individually.

Lots of carfully placed pins! lol... I made bias binding to sew on and turned it to the back, pretty much just like a quilt, I hand sewed down on the back.
