I have noticed a few postings asking about making denim quilts. I am tired of making just raggedy edge denim (although I love them!).
I volunteer at a church thrift and we get bags of jeans. The prob is that the younger sizes do not think it is cool to shop at the thrift! :( So we had a sale and I bought a bag for .50 per jean.
So this year I decided to find a pattern that works with denim that is NOT raggedy. The 3D pinwheels work great, and I am backing them with tee shirts I have on hand. It's going to be a great utlity quilt.

Yep!!! And steam iron all block seams open. It takes extra time but the blocks matched up very well.
When I quilt it I am going to go 1/4 on each side of the seam to reinforce them.
