Disney Princess quilt top finished...
#1
I bought the focus fabric for this quilt for my granddaughter at Goodwill...1.5 yards for $2.99.
I finished the top yesterday and now need to sandwich it and FMQ it. (Not my forte, but I persevere! LOL)
It is a large twin-size and is for my granddaughter's 5th birthday (in September). The quilt is purple because the focus fabric was lavender. However, since her favorite color is pink, I'm going to use pink fabric from my stash for the backing. She can have her 2 favorites...Disney princesses and pink...in the same quilt...albeit on opposite sides! :)
I have an embroidery design that is a crown and am debating on whether to do a few on the front in gold metallic thread. I'm definitely going to put some on the label when I make it.
What do you think about the crowns...should I put some scattered on the front?

My five year old granddaughter acts so much like she is royalty, I don't know about the crowns. (Just joking) Actually, I think that adding a little glitz to girly stuff is really a nice touch. Doing it in gold metalic will really pop. She will love it.
