Doll quilt for DGD!
#1
I was going through quilting withdrawals while waiting for my quilting room to be finished and for DH to put my new quilting frame together...
So last weekend I went into my sewing room and threw some already made HST's together into a small doll quilt. I machine quilted it using a meandering stitch over the diagonal seams. It's not very big...not much bigger than a placemat! LOL. But my DGD *is* only going to be 4 in a couple weeks...so she isn't very big, either! LOL

Did you use your serpentine stitch across those diagonal seams? I have found that makes a great alternative to SID. When my granddaughters turn 2 they get a dolly quilt for their BD (I have 5 GD's) Little doll quilts are also nice to make for gift donations at Christmas time; pair them with a little doll for a special child.
