A doll quilt for our great-niece
This started out as a 'paint chip challenge' at my quilt guild. The three paint chips I chose were light green, raspberry and lavendar. I found a batik for each of the colors, then found the print to tie them all together.
This is going off to our great-niece, Meghan, for her beloved American Girl doll.
Hope you like it!

My grandaughters just love their American Dolls! The quilt is lovely. I hope they keep it forever! I have a couple doll quilts my mother made that I just let lay around for years in the toy box and it's a miracle they are still here. It was so hard to grasp how nostalgic we would become as we age, huh? I've been careless with many things I would give my eye teeth for now!!

Leslie, I was wondering about the color seclections, not totally you. Now I understand and you've made a lovely quilt with your choices.

Gladie, you understand too much about me! You are right, those are not normal choices for me, but I did enjoy working with them. I was surprised to see how light the green looks when combined this way -- it is not that weak appearing all on its own.
