Dresden Plate Quilt Needs Borders

Most of my Dresden Plate top is finished. It still needs borders and I can't decide how to do them. I'm thinking some kind of scrappy to go with the scrappy plates. Of course, that will require buying more 1930's repros!

I think that since you have so many different colors in your plates, that any one of the 30's fabrics that you find, that looks good in the bedroom, would make a perfect border. You could do a border of one fabric, or if you have some scraps left over a piano key border would work well. It just depends on how big you want the quilt to be, as to what kind of border it needs. Not all quilts really need framing, but I think this one does need the color around the edges.
