First and Second Completed Quilts

These are my first two quilts. The first one took me 20 years....the second just two weeks. I'm improving! Both are hand quilted. The first one has a paisley print and I hand quilted the entire pattern. The second is halloween fabrics and I made it for my son for his birthday (25th) this past October. I completed it before his birthday, so proud of me. The backing is a 350tct sheet from Walmart and I just folded over the backing for the binding, mitred corners. Worked on it every day for a week while attending radiation treatments twice a day with a Dear Friend (now cancer free!).
I even sewed on my "Handmade with Love by" tags. Ooops forgot to put the year! :\
I am currently working on a bandana quilt that I pieced together about 5 years ago (go me). And I have a second in the que made from all the leftover pieces from the Halloween quilt. I used the Swirly Girls pattern (13 different fabric patterns) and just so you know...the pattern instructions have you cut out almost enough pieces for two twin size quilts.
