I am working on a Florida State Seminoles quilt for my soon to be SIL. I found wonderful fabric here (thanks to a board member) and have put my blocks together. Now I'm joining them to make the quilt. I showed my daughters the first two rows last night. Youngest loved it and is sure Josh will too. The oldest wanted to know why I put swastikas in the quilt. I don't see it and my youngest doesn't either. Now I'm not sure. Is that what you see in this block or do you just see a pinwheel. Please be honest because if it is there I need to change it. Sigh.

I can vaguely see where she's coming from, but it's really a stretch. I see flying geese pinwheels.
And remind your DD that the symbol referred to as a swastika has been part of history since Neolithic times and was a positive sign. It's only since the 1930s that it's meaning was twisted by the Nazis. For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika.
It's a gorgeous quilt and your future SIL will love it.
