Flowers for my granddaughter
I made my own jelly roll using only 5 grey fabrics. I cut them 3 1/2 inches wide. I placed a square of bright fabric between each strip. Then it was sewn together like a jelly roll quilt. I used scraps of fabric from my granddaughter's quilt to make the flower pot, the leaves and the flowers. The border consists of odd sized rectangles sewn together -- again leftovers from her quilt. Just got it back from the quilter a couple weeks ago. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. One of my "visions" actually turned out!
