This is a beautiful quilt that my DGD picked out the pattern "Charms Thursday", and the fabric. She got introduced to the rotary cutter this time with supervision (of course). She did all the piecing of the blocks and decided to follow the pattern's layout. I quilted it for her on my Janome 6600, did the binding and label. She named the quilt and was very proud of herself. And of course being her Grandmother, I can only say " I have a new quilting buddy". I really enjoyed the time we spent together doing this, that is what memories are made of, for both of us!
Again, the iron-on label transfer, coloured and heat set.

My DGD loved the black & white concept, with a hint of red throughout.

Amazing, what a wonderful quilt!
I'm quilting with my little ones too. That's our girly time, they don't want to watch TV. We sew and listen to Books on CD.
I'm glad you have a quilting buddy, you create wonderful memories.
Thanks for sharing,

What a wonderful outcome to time spent with your DGD. I can hardly wait until mine are old enough to do something like this. Hopefully at least one of them will be interested in Granny's hobbies.
