Hit the jackpot-1880's Baby quilt

Thank you all!
She told me she has stressed more over it in the past twenty years than enjoyed it. She was so worried she wasn't storing it right and that she didnt have it displayed somewhere so she wanted it to go to a loving home. Well it definetly did. It looks fabulous for the age. There are only a very few minor spots I could find that have some wearing on them but overall it is truly in wonderful condition.
Who would I have appraise it?

WOW you are blessed. that is one beautiful quilt. I love antique quilts. Please have it appraised and a rider on your insurance. I have not gotten all mine appraised but I do have what providance and pictures recorded in case something would ever happen to them.

Go on the web, look up American Quilt Society, and ontheir web page should be a link to appraisers. Then you can find one near you. I had a quilt appraised a few years ago and the experience was very pleasant. I was very impressed with the person and her knowledge.
