Jeweled Forest Update 11-19 Saturday
These are paper pieced as everyone knows. This is my first time and I may never go back to regular piecing. OK I will get real - I love PP but I also love regular piecing too. Learning was easy and somewhere along about the 12th little tree it all clicked and I never had to pick out another mistake. Everything looks so accurate (I don't know they are) but they look perfect. They also look complicated but they are not. I expanded and will be finishing it out as a large couch throw for snuggling under this winter. This is one of those things where I think you can make 'too many' of a good thing. I thought about an entire quilt but I decided against it. Anyway - this is where I am at today. I will added some small borders I think. I did some flying geese to add to the outside border but they just took away from my little trees. Opinions are very much welcome. . . . . . .

Your trees are beautiful. Waiting for the pattern. Hope mine look half as nice.
Nothing beats paper piecing for precision. Nothing. For those of us challenged by the 1/4 scant seam, paper piecing is a godsend. For blocks with many pieces or sharp angles, I try to find a way to draw it for paper piecing.
