Libby on TQS
Libby has been doing a series on The Quilt Show on "Name That Stitch." Today was using your Zig Zag and I took a stab at doing the letters. As you can see, I did not put the stabilizer on the back so I had some puckers but I am pleased for my 5 minute exercise. I know all you members with a fancy embroidery machines can do better but this is pretty good for just my hopping foot.

If you created that with a zig zag stitch, I think you did a marvelous job!
As for stabilizer, you can even use a regular sheet of paper, although that will dull your needle faster than using stabilizer.
Well done!

I just used plain polyester sewing thread and my zigzag stitch. I didn't concentrate on getting it really thick on the first time around and just went over the letter twice. The second time over filled it in nicely. I was not kidding when I said 5 minutes, that is really all it took to do the letters. I did mark the fabric with my Frixion pen for getting my letters straight and then just ironed away the lines.
