Lilly Pad's Pinwheel Quilt
Well, finally finished this quilt for my sister's newest grand baby. Its similar to her big sister's quilt (The quilt from hell) which I hadn't noticed till I was finished with it. But I think there's enough differences to it they won't notice.
This is the 1st time I tried my hand with metallic thread on my quilt machine. I slowed the speed down and used a side spool holder so the thread came off the spool straight instead of twisted. Had no problems at all so I'll be using metallic again soon on a wall hanging ready to be quilted. Anyway, hope you like it. I used 5 thread colors on this quilt so lots of thread changing. Made some mistakes but I feel that's just a learning step for me what not to do the next time.
I also used a bunch of the cut scraps to make up the binding and what was leftover from that I used on the pillowcase. By the time I was finished I had only 3 8" strips leftover for the scrap bin.
