Log Cabin runner
#1
This little runner was made with leftover blocks.
A few years ago, actually about 10 years ago, my girl friend gave me a quilt she had started and would never finish she said, so I put the log cabin blocks together myself. We had some ladies from the church help hand quilt it and it was sold in an auction to benefit the church. We raised $800.00 with that quilt!! I don't have a picture of it though - before digital cameras.
These unfinished blocks were left over from that and I added more logs to finish them and made them into this little runner. This one is quilted on my long arm in a meandering pattern, and the runner lives on my antique drop leaf table in the living room. I like the black border and think it has a slightly amish feeling.
