Gathering dust in a charity shop? It cost me the princely sum of 99p.! I think its machine made, but someone has stitched tiny little stitches (by hand) all the way round the star. I couldnt leave it in the shop could I?

Karen, You lucky girl, thats a lovely pillowcase - are you going to make a quilt now to match???? Thats one of the things I miss the most - having a good old rake through charity shops !! There is only one locally which all our group forage in and there simply isn't enough to go round!! lol!!

That's lovely and it!s found a good home with someone who can appreciate the work that went into it. How sad that someone just dumped it - I'd be so upset if something I made for someone ended up in a charity shop.

Karen, it's a great find, i love thrift store shopping too. Love the pillow, very nice...i also would love to see a photo of the quilt hanging behind the pillow, if that isnt any trouble, it looks beautiful!

Great find!!What a treat when one finds something for a good price that you just can't leave in the store
Pictre of my find at the Free Store here on Denman last weekend and of course having just spoken with a friend who loves decorating for Christmas it had to come home with me!! It has been quilted by machine in some places.

Here you go Barb...just for you! It was just a case of making something quick to cover up a big expanse of bare wall! Nothing special...just a scrappy quilt.......it was before I realised there were so many gorgeous patterns!
