Lucky lucky girl

Look what my son saved from the dumpster. It's a Kenmore circa 1950's and once I figured out how to thread it, it sews perfectly. Also, I went into the Goodwill and found this sewing cabinet for $10. The top is ruined but I have already removed the old varnish and sanded it as best I could and have 2 coats of varnish on it so it won't catch on the fabric. This is a Godsend as I have a small space to work in and was trying to figure out how to put my sewing machine in the closet as my longarm takes up most of the room. This solves the problem and I am a happy quilter.

The cutie pie is my grandaughter, now daughter. She'll be 11 next month and has a quilt to quilt on the longarm when school's out. I took her to a quilt show and she's hooked. She says her goal is to be the best quilter ever. Thank you for the kind remarks everyone. Selena
