Marathon night Part 1
#1
So this morning at 5:15 our niece left for GA with her boyfriend to go to her mom's for Christmas. That meant the quilt she started for Andrew needed to get finished so she could give it to him. It also meant that our last 2009 Christmas quilt needed to be finished so she could deliver it to her brother for us. We finally got everything done at 2:00AM. These are the pics of Andrew's quilt. Don't tell him - it's a surprise! It was her first quilt, and she had a lousy teacher (me), and she was a bit impatient with the whole process, so there are lots of "customizations."
She even quilted it herself. I wish I could tell you what she said about the quilting after she had put on the first two rows. Let's just say she didn't envision what the pattern could look like if it wasn't followed closely. We had a great time though, and I hope this night is one of the things she remembers when she picks our nursing home.
Thanks for looking.
