Maxine's Butterfly Star quilt
#1
My friend, Maxine, pieced this queen sized beauty. The colorful asian border print gave her the color palette, and me the butterfly idea for the quilting. I couldn't resist putting a fun butterfly in the snowball blocks. The pale yellow color in the snowball block gave me an excuse to buy the light yellow thread for the butterfly. I used King Tut in varying colors on the top, and pale yellow Bottom Line in the bobbin. This took me several days to get quilted. It was a fun project.
Thanks for looking,
Cynthia

It's so beautiful! I love your butterfly! That is so pretty! All of that pale yellow gave you great place to showcase quilting...which is such a treat. As a long arm quilter I have started looking at the backs more often....and I just LOVE your back...it is so pretty and we see all of your hard work! It's beautiful! Good job!
