My first three tree blocks
#1
These are the first three tree blocks that I will be adding to my train quilt. The weeping willow is from Marcia Hohn Quilters cache and the Christmas tree is from About.com Janet Wickell.
The weeping willow was to be paper pieced but I don't know how yet so I measured and cut....I have to add an inch of sky to top of pine tree and take off some of the bottom of the pine tree block. Not perfect but I'll stick with them. The lighter green weeping willow was my first and it's backwards.

doesn't look backwards to me. it looks more realistic the way you did it. watcha talkin' about, willis? :?:
you did great on all of them. it was very clever of you to realize you didn't need to paper piece the willows. (it's a great technique but not always necessary.) :P

The trees look real nice. I just came across 12 pine tree blocks I made several years ago and put in the someday I'll finish that box. Well, I decided to make them into attic window blocks put two borders on looks good a small lap quilt, now I should go in that box again---------
