A very generous freecycle lady shared a recent stash she was given with me. She told me there was about 40#. We estimate it was more like 120+. These are mostly 2 yard cuts but some as high as 10 yards. I am busy cutting mini quilts for Operation Quiet Comfort whenever I have the energy and not sleeping. Have 10 tops cut and 2 tops done so far.

I'm not familiar with the term freecycle lady, how do I get one?
If they pass on wonderful things like your new stash I really want to find one!!LOL!
How nice that someone passed on such great fabrics for your project! And how great that you pass on such wonderful gifts to those in need.

Freecycle is a group that cycles all things they can not use back into the communitie for free. Go to search type in your county name and freecycle. They have these groups all over the country.
Operation Quiet Comfort is a groupt that supplies mini quilts to soldiers injured in Iraq and other places so they don't get cold on way to hospital.
They also send a lot of other things that the troops can use. They are online at www.operationquietcomfort.com
All help is appreciated. They all so make large deniem quilts for the people who help take care of our troops. Doctors nurses etc.
Thank you all for viewing my great stash. I am starting to feel a lot better and would like to set a goal of 25 quilts for Christmas (and hope I can do a lot more lol.) I really enjoy this work and encourage every American to look into what they can do to help. (without getting into a political discussion I have done great because this cause is my passion).
Have a great day everyone. Linda
