My mother's embroidery
#52
I'm in AWE of the beauty of those rose blocks...the work is magnificent...if I ever completed one of those that could come close to hers...well, I'd have been really happy to have that one...it's not in me to do that many identicals and maintain quality. She's AMAZING...and I'm sure you know that. Thanks so much for sharing.

I have to add my words of admiration, also. These are truly beautiful. My mother used to sew beautifully, but she has no interest in sewing any more. I wish she had a hobby that she loves. I think it makes a difference in your life when you have some kind of passion.

Thanks all. I posted these pictures back in 2008. My mother celebrated her 90th birthday and she is still embroidering.
Just a funny story about her. I called her for her birthday and she didn't answer the phone. I knew it was snowing there so I wondered where she was. I gave her about 15 minutes and called back. She was out of breath and I knew she was out scooping snow!
