Nice machine. It actually has a tension dial.
What about the Shark? Is it a good machine? I didn't know that Shark made sewing machines. I have a Shark steam cleaner and I guess it is made by the same Sharks.

This one has 3 alphabets, 180 decorative stitches. It uses universal snap on feet so is compatible. I like using a cone holder for thread instead of the thread spike under the hood.
Weightwise, it weighs about the same as the new Brother, unlike the brother it bounces at high speed though.
It does have a start/stop so you don't need to use the foot pedal.
Also has needle up and down.
The throat is ok, 6 x 4 & 3/4 space. The new machine seems like a giant compared to the shark.
