My Thursday evening project....
#1
I thought I would do some sewing when I got home but being a bit tired..I just thought I would finish some pin cushions that I had started.... thought I would should them to you - I love the fabric so much....
The front of the pin cushions is an embroidered Velvet fabric from England....I was able to make 4 of the Ivory, 2 of the Caramel and 1 of the Lagoon....
The backs of the pin cushions are the same as the front fabric - but not embroidered.
The Ivory and Caramel ones are 5 1/2" x 6"....
the Lagoon is 5 1/2" x 6 1/2".
Now I think I will have a bit of lay-me-down time in front of the t.v. :-)
Hope you are all having a great evening!

THe fabric is from a company in England called SHEILA COOMBES.
The name of the fabric is ISTAN,,,it is an exclusive home decor fabric available just to the decorator and designer trade.....I was fortunate to have some smaller cuts...this fabric retails here in Canada for $478.00/Yard...(No, I didn't make a mistake.. :-)
The fabric is 57% Viscose, 31% Cotton, 12% Polyester
I also love velvets - and this one is so beautiful and the handfeel is so rich..it was such a pleasure to work with this one.
