This is the top of the quilt I made today while DH was at work. I seem to get more done when he is not at home. Not sure why, maybe a lack of 'honey do' questions and requests? Anyway this is for my first great niece, who will be making her appearance, some where near my birthday in February.

This was taken with my cell phone, so it is a little fuzzy.

That is so pretty. The Irish Chain is one of my favorite pattern. Great job and beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing.

I have a new granddaughter due in February....what great inspiration you've given me! Love your quilt! What size is it? Is that a true red and pink, or a burgandy? Thanks for sharing...

It is a deep burgundy, hot pink, and a burgundy and hot pink floral, I found at Joann's bargain bin. The pattern is Eleanor Burns with an extra border to make it bigger. My niece lives along the North Pacific, (Long Beach, WA) and I wanted to be sure it was big, and I am going to use two batts to make it extra warm. It measures 50" x 50". So far I have spent about $3.00 on it. :thumbup:

Beautiful! I love the colors! I too am working on a baby quilt and it is for my great great niece who will arrive at the end of December. Very exciting!
