a new Celtic Dragonfly quilt for a family friend- still needs binding
i had to make a second Celtic Dragonfly quilt after a family friend saw the purple one i made my daughter and wanted to buy it- i had to tell her 'no- it's not for sale, it's a birthday gift for my daughter; but i can make you one of your own'
she wanted green instead of purple- so i dyed the green fabric for the background & backing;
added broidery perse applique for the dragonflies instead of the black silhouettes i used on my daughter's. i finished quilting it last night- have the binding made- just not on yet- my weekend hand project- but since i took pics for the recipient i thought i would share with you too

I had never heard of Broderie perse before. Had to google it and it sure is interesting. Now I have to add that to my list of want-to-do's. All because you made a beautiful quilt that I am very intrigued by. Thank you for sharing!
