One Top Done and Another Started

I finally got around to attaching the border to my coworker's baby quilt tonight! Mom volunteered to do the SITD quilting (yay!) so I'll be helping her with that but not directly involved. It's a Squares Within Squares 2 block from Quilter's Cache.

That freed me up to start a new top! (Even though I have my first quilt still in-progress for another friend that's slow going. *cough cough*)
I decided to play with Missouri Star Quilt Co's strip tube piecing tutorial for a "Summer in the Park" quilt. My friend lives in California, her favorite color is blue, and she's very involved in the state parks because of her mom. This jelly roll from Tuesday Morning was just perfect for her!

Completed top for baby Elizabeth Marie, due in August. I would have made a larger border if I'd had more fabric, but ah well. Still cute.

The beginnings of a quilt for Hanna! Tube quilting is officially AMAZING.

Beautiful quilts! I smiled when I saw the fabric you used for a state park friend! It is PERFECT! I also used that fabric to make a baby quilt for a friend who works in the state parks and she is a true nature lover! She loved it!
