I'm back to working on the Vintage quilt after putting it away for a week to work on something else. I was putting the corner red checked triangles on the side blocks and I did the first one 3 times before it lined up well with the Jacob's Ladder block corners. I did the second one tonight and got it first time since I just took the measurement from the edge of the red triangles out instead of trying to come in from the outside edge of the block. The corner triangle needs to be sewn 1 3/8" from the red triangles. Hope the other 3 side sections go that easily!
The sides will be sewn to the center applique block.

The second side is done. Didn't have to redo any of it this time. Now I need to sew the bottom two rows of blocks together and the one top row of blocks.
I can't find the center applique that I'm working on. I hope that I just left it at work. I can still make the berries if I get to it tonight. I have one wing, the legs, and part of the body on one bird left to do and that's done.
