Pictures from European Quilt show
Last weekend I went to my first quilt show in a small french village called Sainte Marie aux Mines near the german border. This is the place where the Amish community was born centuries ago. Every year the village organises the European Crossroads Quilt Show.
There were hundreds of works from all over the worlds exhibited in 20 differents places.
Some were antics, others copies from antics, other where very traditionnal and some very modern. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Thank you so much for posting - makes me homesick as I'm originally from Germany. Interesting to see what others are doing. My favorite is the quilt with the houses on hillsides, although the bright colorful smaller quilts are beautiful too.

gorgeous quilts .... all of them! Fabulous setting for such beautiful quilts. You must have had an exciting time photographing them. So many ideas I'd like to put on my "to try" list. If you have more pictures, please share. I could look at these several times a day. Thank you for sharing.
