Pine needle baskets
#1
I've had a couple of pm's about this, so thought I'd post a couple of pictures-mostly I give them away as gifts, so I never have many around. . .but here's what I have on hand this morning: (I love using antlers for handles if I can get them)
pudding stone from Drummond Island, MI as base

Lovely work. I've tried it with the very long needles from trees in Yosemite Valley, took a long time to finish, but wasn't as nice as yours. You did a very good job on this, the deer anthers were a nice touch I've never seen before. I have seen some with reddish polished Buck Brush handles from the high Sierras, but those were Indian made.
