Potholders from selvages

I hadn't sewed earlier from fabric edges.
It is my first experience.
I have sewed some potholders and have added applications and decorative machine lines.

I used them for tomatos earlier too (WOW, you live in the USA, I live in Russia and we do identical things! :mrgreen: ).

I love these!
My husband grew tomatoes this past summer and his plants got so wild, the selvages would have come in handy...never thought to offer him some. Now I'm learning about all these beautiful things you can do with selvages, don't know if I want to share with him or not.

Hi what a great idea... I normally keep my selvadges to tie up new shoots on creepers and keep new trees tied to a stake. I have also shared some with friends. ha ha ..... but never thought of using them as potholders...keep up the good work. ciao
