Question About Distance Between Quilting
#1
Do I need to quilt something on the 2 thin strips between the 2 larger strips? There's about 6 inches between the 2 at the widest point. Don't really know what I could quilt there so if I do need to do something...any suggestions?

Yes, you do... but also check your batting instructions.. but you could SID... stitch in the ditch or do a wavy on the seams.. but you need something to hold the top, batting and backing together.
Nice quilting so far.

something like ribbon candy. tight curves. i tried to copy a pic in here but couldn't. the hard colorful ribbon candy I remember from my childhood. it's still out there. i never liked it myself but it was pretty.
and i would do more in the green also. the top one you could just do scallop type curves on either side and the larger green border at least do one more holly leaf below where necessary to help fill in more. that would make it areas of three holly leaves going across.
