the roaring monster quilt finally finished
#1
I have been working on this quilt for over a week. Every thing that could go wrong, DID! I have never poked myself so much with a needle or had to recut material and rip out stitches as I did with this quilt.
It is for my nephew's soon to be baby boy. My nephew loves rally cars and I was lucky to find the designs on DaintyStitches.com They turned out really well. But it wasn't until after the top was finished sewing on the yellow tires that my son said "You know that those are motorcycle tires, right?" I almost screamed. I guess I should have looked closer instead of the color.

Also I used this same yellow fabric on my grandsons car quilts and nobody has pointed out that they're bike not car tyres. And my son rides motorcross bikes and has absolutely no tact, so maybe they won't notice either. Must remember to point this out now..
