Sashing Opinion

I personally like the red! IMO, the black has nothing to tie it in with the blocks. White would be my 2nd choice. Seems to me the blue dulls the quilt too much.
Edit: I wonder if a slightly narrower sashing would make a difference? Seems to me that the sashing width almost overpowers the very intricate blocks. Maybe a red sashing width more in keeping with the width of the red in the blocks?

If you're going to use sashing, I'd agree that the red is the best. But I think the blocks are super without sashing as well. Maybe a compromise -- cluster the blocks with 4 together, then sashing in between those large squares.

IMHO I would love to see the secondary pattern develop without sashing. I love the red sashing and I would use that as an inner border. However there will be as nany opinions as quilters so do what makes you happiest.
