Scotties
Thank you to the person who posted a similar quilt. It gave me the idea for a baby quilt for a friend's granddaughter.
I don't know the parents well so HOPE they are OK with pink. The teal sashing does kind of take away from all the pink as well as the lime green polka dot binding. The backing is polka dot too. The squares were 3.5 inches so whatever that works out to here…I've already wrapped it and asked them when I can deliver it. It's really a little-girl size and not baby size.
I just hand quilted a bunch of circles everywhere and tried to be consistent throughout - but not so much. Machine pieced; very light weight cotton batting (it's hot in Atlanta) and white cotton thread. This is the first quilt I actually washed before using (washed by hand) after finishing it, mainly because all my markings were just too much on the white squares, plus I wanted to see if it would shrink. I had washed the fabric before starting but even so, the teal bled just a little. The last image is after I washed it but before I ironed it so it's a bit wrinkly.
Thanks for taking a look!

Love that scottie dog quilt pattern. You did a nice job on fabric choices. I always wash my quilts after finishing (but have never ironed them). Guess that crinkly look is just part of the charm for me.
