Scrappy Double Irish Chain
Finally finished piecing my Double Irish Chain tonight! It took a little longer than I expected, since I thought I had planned for it to be 7 blocks x 9 blocks instead of 9x11. I guess that's what happens when you let UFO's sit for years, lol.
I haven't added the border(s) yet, since I'm going to rummage thru the UFO pile tomorrow and to make it a reversible quilt. That way I can knock out two UFO's at once when I quilt it And stick with my fabric moratorium!

The blocks are 10", so it is 90"x110" before borders. The colored squares are all scraps I have pre-cut down to size, which I often use to make 4 patches as leaders/enders, although I had to whip up a bunch this week to make those last few rows.

Absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful thing to do with scraps! I have been sorting scraps and want to organize them into something. You inspire me! Please show us your quilt again when you get the borders finished and/or when it is quilted.
