My Crazy Quilt block
I never could accumulate enough nice fabric for a quilt so just made this one block. Perhaps someday I will incorporate it into a quilt but for now this is all I have done. Fun as it was, it was very time consuming. This is approx 14 inches square. I used the men's ties that I could find and some velveteen and other nice fabrics.

I love seeing everyone's crazy quilts!! I have always been a big fan of them. I think I own most of the books out there on them.
SandyinZ4, I love your big block!! I wish I kept my father's ties when he passed away. He had TONS of them since when he worked he wore one every single day.

nygal - Hi, I am also a NY girl from Brooklyn originally. I have been saving all the materials to make a Crazy Quilt for which I have been longing to start, and I believe I have all I will ever need. My biggest problem is I am unable to find a pattern, a template or anything having to do with a crazy quilt. You would never believe all the quilt magazines and books I have and not one of them have clear instructions to make a crazy quilt. Can you help me? I will pay for any instructions etc. I have spent days on the computer trying to find a pattern or template. I hope and pray you will be able to help me. You can contact me at: [email protected]

I have not made a crazy quilt, but I have a few made crazy quilt pillows out of men's silk neck ties.I embroidered all
of the seams, and used black velvet for the backing. My mother passed away in 2009, I made some for friend when they lost their husband. Love yours, great job.

unreal, you could stare at it all day. beautiful work! slippery fabric drives me insane. I don't know how people do it. Plus all that hand stitching intimidates me. I've made plenty of quilts one might call crazy, but none in the traditional sense. This is fabulous.
