So Proud of my mom- 91 and still quilting away!!!
Yes my mother is 91 and still creating beautiful quilts. My mother has made several broken star quilts and i have posted a couple of them on the board. She asked me if I would like one and of course I say a big YES! I added a twist for her because I found a 3-D pattern. She says now that this is the last one like this she is making, sticking to the regular pattern from now on. She even had to learn how to run my long-arm machine to be able to enter it in the senior division. Are all state fairs like that ? The senior has to do it all - no help quilting or commercial quilting.
Hope you enjoy the pictures - because i know i am going to enjoy the quilt.

Fabulous quilt and a beautiful pattern. Well done to your Mum for learning the new skill of longarm at such a wonderful age. I lost my mum eleven years ago but have a friend of 87 who has a her own ipad and is on Facebook and goes on Skype. Hope I can still do all the things I love when I'm more senior.
