Here is the first square for my new quilt.It is a little harder than I though it would be.I want to make a quilt for a double bed I would like for it to be the size of a bedspread(Hang to floor on all sides)

When you square it up, you want to make sure that you have a 1/4" seam around your points, or you will lose them. Move your ruler around the block, checking to see if you cut here, is it too much to cut off on the other side(s) and then do your trimming.
You may want to double check your seam allowances now and correct them so that you don't have as much trimming :wink:
Pinning also helps to keep everything in place as you sew your rows together and may help lessen the amount of trimming needed, too :D:D:D
