Strings from the overflowing box ...

Strings from the overflowing box ...
... that box of 1.5" strips that seems to grow on its own. Never seem to get it down to a small box.
Anyway, here is my latest. I am pretty sure it was an idea I took off Rose Ludlow's site and printed out over 3 years ago. Looking for something that didn't require much cutting, and ended up with this. I had to cut the background, but used my companion angle and went fast on the white. I went into the box of scrappy 4.5" squares, and used that same ruler and cut the other half of the HSTs. Perfect, the ruler ended up at the edge of the 4.5" blocks edge, and there was no leftovers. (Well, 48 leftover triangles. Shall I save them or not, that is the question.) The string blocks, center blocks and the HSTs all measure 4.5" and it goes together quick and easy as a 9-patch, making a 12.5" block. Thanks for looking.
I know the borders are a bit funky, but I don't cut into big pieces for borders, I have a bunch of stuff big enough for a couple border strips, not enough to do much with.
