Table Runner; learned lots of "new" things
#1
This is for my sister - I learned many new things: how to mark and quilt a "motif" and how to miter binding with "other than 90 degrees" corners. Also it was the first time I've used decorative stitching in the ditch. There are TONS of mistakes. But she will love it - blue and yellow are the only colors in her whole house and her table is dark brown. All fabs came from my stash.

It's the french braid pattern - found it online at http://quiltbug.com/free/table-topper.htm
I marked the motif by tracing a design from a FMQ book (had to enlarge it on my scanner) using Golden Threads tissue paper - I'm too new (and chicken!) to FM this on my own!
Thanks everybody for the kind comments
