The Thirteenth Fandango - quilted, bound and off to the Festival of Quilts
#1
Hi everyone,
This quilt is my own original design and I have been posting progress on the QB from the beginning and had lots of feedback and support at every stage so thank you all. :-D
It's finally done and is entered in the UK Festival of Quilts which is our biggest national show. It will hit the post today. It is regular pieced, paper foundation pieced, machine fusible applique, freehand machine quilted and beads applied by hand and I'd hate to say how many hours of work was involved!
It IS square and straight, despite the heavy quilting, it has just got a bit scrunched up being balled up on my lap the last few evenings while I sewed on the beads - honest!  8-)

Twirly feather in the centre section - I love doing these!

I love these motifs created by the twisted and off centre log cabins - I left the red sections unquilted so they're really poofy!
