A coworker of mine ordered this quilt for her grandson. Four years old and a HUGE fanatic for vintage trains. So she specifically asked for train tracks.
1) Do you know how HARD it is to find TRAIN TRACKS fabric??? Took me 3 weeks to find some.
2) Do you know how many yards of FUSSY CUT train tracks are in this little quilt? 12 running yards of fussy cut train tracks, that's how many!!!
This is one quilt I was SO delighted to get finished!!! It took FOREVER to do!!!!

Beautiful train quilt. Year before last I did one for a baby, and forgot to take a pic, but I'm with you on fussy cutting train tracks. Oh, and mine were all mitred, so the train went round them.

As the grandaughter and niece of train engineers and a HUGE fan of vintage trains myself, I have to say ... i LOVE this quilt! Where did you find the train track fabric? Could you PM me and let me know? Thank you. That little boy is going to be so tickled!
