i was really lucky i guess.it being my first and all. well i know how they say don't cut the shirt until after you ironed the stableizer on. but i cut my shirt fronts out before. then ironed them down then i cut them down to the size i wanted them. i was really surprised how this turned out .it only took me one day to complete the top . i think i want to do another one real soon.

Tshirt quilts really are easy...especially if your blocks are the same size! I did one for my son using his 2X tshirts from high school. They were sewn together with no sashing. I did another last Christmas for my niece from her softball tshirts, using a really funky fabric to sew them together. Wish I knew how to post a picture to show you. I have more shirts cut now that are NOT the same size. This one will be a little tricky but I know I can do it!!

OK....here is an attempt to attach two pictures. These pictures were taken before it was actually machine quilted. I had spread it on my bed to see how it would look. Hope you like it!!

    Hi,

Your T-shirt quilt is just fabulous, I've been thinking for a while that I should do something similar as with three growing boys I have plenty of that kind of material! I feel really inspired now, thanks so much.

This is great - I've been wanting to do something similar with my husband's running shirts (now that he no longer runs....and no longer fits into them).

What kind of stablizer did you use...one for knits or one for non-stretch fabric. How heavy?
