T sent me this quilt for her daughter...This quilt is HUGE...couldn't get a full size photo as it is 110x122...
Her daughter saw a quilt that had been stippled at a quilt show and thought she would like that design. SO I stippled...and stippled...and stippled...
I don't know if I am just aching for spring..but as I was staring at this quilt all I could think about was Jelly beans...and Easter and all the warm feelings that conjures up for me. That by far is the most important holiday in our house and everything it represents in our lives.
Anyway...I think the stippling kind of makes me think... if I were to trace jelly beans all over the quilt...the design may look much like a stipple...but that could be my delirious haze from staring at it for so long?? Who knows? The quilt is FABULOUS! T did a great job piecing it..no problems what-so-ever...and usually if you are going to have bad problems it would be in a bigger quilt because of distortion issues...but thankfully she is a natural quilter!
I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. No Computer or pantograph quilting. I used Hobbs Polydown batting.
...Thanks for looking!

LOL, just damn girl you make even the humble stipple meander look so good! Tslowery did a great job picking colors on this it is so bright and cheerful.
I imagine with a quilt that size and all that tight meandering you were probably seeing double after a while. I am working on a quilt right now that I am doing a sunflower in every block. There are 100 blocks. I had to take a break from it for a bit. 100 sunflowers is a lot! 70 down, 30 to go.
