Update on Emily's quilt (7 yr old granddaughter)
She stayed the night with me last night and today, she sewed her borders on that she had picked out. I guess we will hit the store for some backing fabric. The colors show up better in the 2nd picture. She was brushing the hair out of her face...doesn't always love that pretty hair pulled back. For those of you that commented on my earlier post, she was tickled pink as we read through them. Also the picture is her "I finished my quilt happy chant."
I am really proud of her. Hope I get to work with my other granddaughter this weekend when she is here to finish her top.

Impressive little seamstress. She's darling.. hope she loves her new quilt. Have you seen the twister quilt? it starts out just like this one and ends up looking like pinwheel blocks. Like this one... (not mine) http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...34922.html#top It's fun to try new techniques.

Dear Grandma and Emily,
Your quilt is lovely. I love the colors and differant materials you have chosen. Agree with sewdarnbusy...impressive little seamstress. The Best of all your quilting, is a project with Grandma.
Wonderful quilting project!
